March 2009 update: Hey everyone, I'm back!

It's been ages since I went on photographic hiatus, but I finally gave in and revived my Pro account… if you take a look at my updated list of cameras you will understand why. ;)
Hopefully I will find the time, get back in the mood and start taking more pictures again.

Formerly a dedicated music student (majoring in orchestral conducting), nowadays an English and American studies grad student majoring in Literary Translation.
Obviously a cat lover, compulsive concert-goer and terrible amateur camera-mishandler. :)

In my spare time I also enjoy twisting and torturing words as well as fortuitously poisoning my entourage with my kitchen experiments.


I am also registered on www.last.fm/user/bystrouska, MySpace (although I hardly ever connect), and MyAnimeList.

My cameras:
• a really old digital Fuji that's been dead for years now and I can't even remember what was its name/number or anything (poor thing);
• a Minolta Dimage 7 I shamelessly snatched from my unsuspecting dad (also dead as of 2009);
• a Nikon Coolpix 4600 with which I really started having fun and trying things out;
• a Samsung NV10 which follows me about everywhere, all the time, and helped me take the fun a step further;
• *new* a Nikon D200 I got for Christmas and which I'm slowly getting used to.

A note regarding my uploading habits:
Yes, I very often do upload tons of pictures at once. The reason for this is simple: I use Flickr as a storing place as much as a place to show my pictures. Hence the sometimes massive, not-so-picky uploading. Please forgive me if going through the pics is sometimes a bit boring.
