I consider myself to be a beginner in photography, however for about 10 years I've always had a camera to hand.. 9 of those years the camera has always been a point and click 35mm or cheap digital.

My first SLR is my current; A Sony α300 with the stock 18-70mm. I recently went out and purchased a larger 55-200mm lens which I tend to have on for most of my more recent shots (excluding the cupcakes, of course).

I enjoy capturing animals, birds and scenery however I really want to get into human portraits - but my luck has it that no-one I know would dare let me photograph them intentionally. Getting them by surprise would probably mean an end to my photography days...!!!
