"There is a single word for each and every photo that Evan deliberately places afloat on his stream: Striking. Each and every image has an immediacy to it and piercing quality that waits for nothing in the relaying the message you take away. I've spent only a short amount of time around the man in person and his genuineness had made an impression on me almost immediately. That is what you will find in his photos and dialogues; no difference.
All that, and the dude is just so damn cool."

"It is amazing to have Evan as my brother. It is not often that one is blessed with a person in this life that transcends the boundary of a defining role. Evan plays many roles in my life. He is my blood brother. He is my best friend. Evan continues to amaze me with his insatiable quest for knowledge, and his dilligence in seeking out the correct and most effective way to do things. His photographs continue to challenge me emotionally and scientifically. Evan has been blessed with the heart of an artist and the mind of craftsman. Evan has given me the ability to be proud in the way only an older brother can be proud. I look forward to watching his photography evolve for years to come."

"he sees with his heart and his fingertips follow
he pulls stains out of walls that used to hide
he encourages the shadows to creep up into the light and he makes the mundane and ordinary seem ethereal and gifted.
having walked around streets and garages like investigators we dig without effecting the surface, i see that his rhythm is in sync with the way things want to be noticed and photographed.
    his heart is his camera.
    carried with him everywhere.
he doesn't just take a picture of something. he develops a connection, and maintains it.
i just only wanna see more work. that's all"

"Evan's portraits are not simply recorded images but are an opening to a person from the inside. I find portraiture extremely difficult but Evan has found a way to make it look extremely easy. I have found myself saying "I wish I had taken that." when looking at some of his photos.

Evan's desire to learn and progress is evident in his stream. His more recent additions are an example of a Good eye getting Better - his framing and compositions are a sight to see.

E's still life and portraits are very well executed and need not be messed with.....If I could give only one piece of advice I would say to always look for the uncommon in the common and the unusual in the usual....You will find things you never knew were there."
