I like words, juicy black berries, flip flops, white leather jackets and 3 peso rodeos. I think heirloom tomatoes are beautiful. I live on the west coast of Canada and I'm married to a guy I lured here from New York. He's a chef too.

"the thing about burnt sugar - one could easily write something like "Master of the Macro" and leave it at that.
But it wouldn't really tell the whole story.
While it's true that there are just loads and loads of beautifully composed examples of life up close in burnt sugar's stream, there is also so much more - street life, home life, portraits, vibrant colors, amazing and light, all conveyed with a sense of visual economy. And while i may post 20 photos while struggling to convey something about a certain object or person, burnt sugar is able to demonstrate with one or two images that less is more..."13th June, 2005
