I am a glass artist, making beads in my Worcestershire studio.

There is something magical about melting glass rods and creating miniature works of art. It would be fair to say that I have become obsessed with pushing molten glass to its limits, and in discovering new colour reactions. The fact that my relationship with glass will always have the potential to develop to another level is what enthrals me most.

I am inspired by the colours and shapes in the world around me, and I am always planning how I can capture these in glass. I use a variety of techniques and materials in my beads, often incorporating fine silver.

My jewellery designs are simple and easy to wear. I love to make maille chains, joining rings in centuries old patterns. When I add my glass beads into the design I find this marries up two age-old crafts perfectly.
