Newbie gardener living in the 'burbs of sunny sub-tropical Brisbane. My partner and I own a small lot (609sq.m) in inner-city Brisbane where we try to grow as many food plants as possible - with varying degrees of success. My attempts at gardening are rather patchy due to an ongoing back injury and general lack of experience but I am learning heaps on this particular journey. My favourite places/people to learn from are the good folk at Brisbane Organic Growers http://www.bogi.org.au/, the Northey Street City Farm newsletter http://www.northeystreetcityfarm.org.au/, Gardening Australia http://www.abc.net.au/gardening/ a my horticulture teacher, Annette McFarlane http://www.annettemcfarlane.com.au/, Earthgarden magazine http://www.earthgarden.com.au/ and Beelerong Community Farm http://www.communitygarden.org.au/experience/gardens/beelerong.htmlAnd my partner's mum!
