"In person and just like his icon, Buboy is witty and funny. Behind the camera, his personality takes on the role of a skilled lensman with an eye for details, color, shadows and light. His images of people portray them in deep contrast, often embedding them in overwhelming shadows, but always capturing individual character and expression. On the other hand, in daylight shoots, his subjects will come out with the most natural clarity and crispness. Yet most will agree that Buboy has his heart on nature - those majectic mountains and landscapes, marvelous sunsets, time-freezed waterfalls, and many other images done naturally or with his signature IR shot - all are among the best pictures of a beautiful Philippines.
