For me, photography is the never ending exploration of visual expression. The process of selecting subject matter, composition, tonal balance, and managing positive and negative space, each one requiring you to tap into your accumulated visual experiences. These provide the base building blocks from which you can experiment and develop an image to give it a life of it’s own.
From graphic presentations of architecture to soft silent worlds of landscapes, the pilgrimage is the same, to present slices of the world around us in a way that can engage the viewer, to elicit an emotional response. I strive to create images rather than take them, to present my imagery in a way that invites the viewer to experience their own personal journey into these worlds.
I',m also a member of the Riverdale Artist Network and the Hangman 7 collective.
