Saxophonist Brian Sacawa has been called many things—mostly good—including “an inventive musician” (The New York Times), “inspired” (The Washington Post), and “brilliant” (The Baltimore Sun). His debut solo recording American Voices (Innova) was nominated to be nominated for a Grammy but didn’t quite make the cut. He currently serves as saxophonist with The US Army Field Band from Washington, DC, is the Curator of the Mobtown Modern music series and a Category 2 bicycle racer for Haymarket Bicycles and the US Military Elite Development Team. He resides in Baltimore, MD.
