OBNOXIOUS est un groupe lyonnais de Brutal Thrash Death metal formé en 2002 par Lény et Math.

Le groupe, influencé par Slayer, the Haunted, Cannibal Corpse, Emperor évolue dans une musique sombre, étrange, mélangeant les riffs ultra rapides et efficaces avec des passages plus mid-tempo et mélodiques. Un changement de line-up en 2007/2008 va pousser le groupe vers un futur plus extrême : Ludo, nouveau chanteur flirtant avec des sonorités DeathCore/Black Metal ainsi que Mak, batteur issu du milieu GrindCore .

Après avoir partagé la scène avec des groupes tels que Bolt Thrower, God Dethroned, Kronos, The Arrs et sorti un EP 5 titres intitulé « Dismal Swarming Shape » en novembre 2007, Obnoxious se penche à présent sur l'écriture de son premier album qui verra le jour courant 2009.

Nico, nouveau bassiste rejoint le groupe en janvier 2009 influencé par la scène Deathcore/brutal death.
Le groupe est à présent au complet pour enregistrer son 1er album... Le char d'assaut est de retour pour défoncer les salles !!

OBNOXIOUS is a Brutal Thrash Death Metal band set up in 2002.

The band, influenced by Slayer, the Haunted, Cannibal Corpse, Emperor, grows in a dark music, melting speed and efficient guitar riffs with mid-tempo melodic instants. A change of line up in 2007/2008 will definitely give the band a more extreme future : a DeathCore/Black Metal singer and a GrindCore drummer .

After having shared gigs with bands like Bolt Thrower, God Dethroned, Kronos, The Arrs and after having released an EP entitled « Dismal Swarming Shape » on november, 2007, Obnoxious is currently writting his debut album.

A new bass guitarist has joined the band on january, 2009 coming from the Deathcore/brutal death scene.
The band is now stronger than ever to release his first album... The tank is back to destroy concert halls !!
