  I think Brooke is beautiful, internally as well as externally. She's my favorite photographer, but isnt all high and mighty like some people can be; she took time out of her life just to talk to me and comment on my pictures, and even made one of my friends's day by commenting on a pictures of hers too. I think Brooke is magical. She creates all of these things that arent real but makes them look like theyre supposed to be that way. Not everyone has that much talent and ability and magic in them to do that. I think Brooke is amazing, because of all of these things put together. :)

  "There is a great deal of inflated praise lavished on unspectacular photography on Flickr. Don’t get me wrong, there are many talented folks posting photos on-line. Much of this work is solid and craftsman-like.
  
  However, the photostream created by brookeshaden transcends the well-rendered clichés that are so abundant nowadays, and injects a power and majesty into the Flickr community that is genuinely breathtaking.
  
  Years ago, I can remember standing in the Tate Gallery in England before Mallais’s masterpiece Ophelia. The painting is simultaneously lush, elegant and very off-putting. I remember feeling something like a mild electric shock standing before such a brilliant visual representation of emotional contraries.
  
  Imagine my surprise when I casually came upon brookshaden’s photo stream, and felt the same kind of light-headed bliss. Her work is pure emotional gunpowder.   Put simply, brookeshaden’s work is so unique and magnetic that feels like a primal force. It is “charged” material that carries its undeniable kinetic energy into the consciousness of her audience.
