Bristol Famous' photostream

In 1930 Ernest Board painted Some Who Have Made Bristol Famous, a large group portrait of celebrated Bristolians and adopted Bristolians.
In 2009 an updated version was commissioned, and a competition was organised to choose an artist. The judges chose a proposal from Simon Gurr, best known in Bristol for his work on The Bristol Story - a graphic history book written by Eugene Byrne.
