"The camera is a magic window that transforms the world." - Irving Pobboravsky

Most of my time I am being Director of Flow Associates, supporting cultural organisations to develop digital, outreach and educational strategies and programmes, with offices in London and Delhi. A big element of this is working on initiatives that increase digital access to cultural collections, so I'm a big fan of Flickr Commons. My work projects strongly relate to my personal interests in the environment, education, childhood, creative writing, places and communities, travel, art and dialogue. I'm working on projects to do with coastal heritage and rising seas, tree diseases and climate change, and documenting the slow transition of my local community towards sustainability. Photography, combined with writing, for me is the most immediate artform and participatory activity.

I'm admin for a few groups. One is Threatened Coastal Heritage, documenting changing coastal environments in the face of rising sea levels and other effects of climate change, which I would like help promoting. Another is related to the Dark Mountain group, people concerned about climate change and interested in how art and storytelling can change our values. We want to gather photographic art and images of creative practices that relate to that challenge.
