I'm just a chick who dreams of someday escaping the confinements of Kansas to flee to Chicago. I consider myself to be an adventurous, intelligent, insightful, goofy, opinionated, loyal, fun-loving, sarcastic, optimistic, and sometimes pain in the ass human being just trying to find her way through the maze that is life. I am not perfect; I've made my share of mistakes, but I am excited where my life's journey is taking me and there is no reason not to hope for the best each day. I am happy. Someday soon - as in about 6 years from now - I see myself graduating from a master's program to become a clinical psychologist and moving on to my doctorate. Afterward I'd love to get married, have a couple kids, all that jazz... minus that ugly white picket fence of course. Some may call these miniscule aspirations, but according to Emerson... "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.This is to have succeeded!"
