I take photographs as a sort of daily exercise in journal making. It is
also the purest most joyful creative experience I have in my life -
unhooked from any obligation to art director, supervisor or client.

Also, now that I am a new father I find that I'm shooting with the idea
in mind that my daughter might someday enjoy looking back at the places,
people (her adorable self included much of the time!) and things I saw
in front of my camera.

My dear friend and "adopted" Grandfather and mentor
Dick Miller is my photographic inspiration: his enthusiasm for
photographing everything around him, the absolute childlike delight it
brought him and the way in which it enriched his life and the lives of
those around him - that's something to aim for. Thank you Dick!
