I have always loved photography. I remember my first point and shoot camera (the plastic rectangular kind with a thumb-wind) and the first photo i took (of my 3rd grade class in France). Getting a polaroid when I was 11 was huge, I loved the instant part. At 14 I bought my first decent 35mm, a pentax, and started getting really into it. Then my godfather gave me an Argus C3 1941, which was amazing! Real flash pan with bulbs and all.. I went to Arnold Schwarzenegger's book signing, sneaked in with the press, and caught all of the photographers' attention, at least :)

I stopped when i was 15 or 16 for a bunch of reasons. When I got my first digital camera in 2003, I was excited that the technology had made it a lot easier (and cheaper), but as I got back into it, the point-and-shoot was just not cutting it. I decided to go for a real camera, and got a Canon 20D digital SLR in 2005. Although I'd like a bigger preview screen(!), I am pretty happy with it and my 50mm 1.4 lens.

My favorite to photograph is people. I don't aim to do it it professionally; it's a relatively serious hobby. I love sharing my pictures with people, and especially taking ones they actually like of themselves.. I have been working on a Book of Smiles, which I hope to publish soon.

Book of Smiles

My passion, apart from indulging in some other art, is activism.Global Youth Action Network, TakingITGlobal, Chat The Planet, and Three Dot Dash, primarily. And health sovereignty: Natural-Immunogenics.
