Mike cut his teeth on a 1970s Minolta SR-T 101 and trained under the watchful, discerning, and highly critical eye of John Stamets among others. A great deal of Mike's outlook on the power of photography was honed during the years spent working with light in the immensely creative space of the chemical darkroom.

Mike holds degrees in architecture and computer animation/visual effects.
