Bonnechere Provincial Park covers a combined 162 hectares of forest and wetland where the Little Bonnechere River enters Round Lake, on Cty Rd 58 (formerly Hwy 62), 45 km west of Pembroke. Established in 1967, Bonnechere as one of ten provincial parks opened during Canada's centennial celebrations. The Park was developed to provide year-round educational opportunities and to protect significant natural, cultural and recreational environments.
On-site facilities and amenities include: 128 campsites (24 with electricity) and 4 rustic cabins; comfort station with showers, flush toilets and laundry; clean sandy beach, children's playground, lakeside boardwalk, wildlife viewing platform and bookstore, boat launch, kayak rentals, and the Davenport Cultural Resource Centre. Outdoor activities include swimming, camping, birdwatching, hiking, cross-country skiing and interpretive programs.
