Everything ! Favourite classical composer is Beethoven, with piano concertos at the top of the list; love all kinds of popular music - jazz (OP), country, Randy Newman, you name it

Favorite Movies:

Film noir - Raymond Chandler flicks. Truffaut movies. Les Miserables. Les Enfants du Paradis. Chinatown. Dr Strangelove. Anything with Peter Sellers, Being There. Anything by the Coen brothers, especially Fargo and The Big Lebowski. I didn't get to see a lot this year !

Favorite Books:

All of George Orwell, lots of great history books, Wild Swans by Jung Chang. I'm a big fan of Richler, Ondaatje, Margaret Laurence and Vassanji. Favourite political writers are Edmund Burke, Tom Paine, Orwell, and Isaiah Berlin. I'm a huge Thomas Hardy fan. Latest good read - Pierre Elliott Trudeau's bio by John English.

Favorite TV Shows:

It started with Sid Caesar, the Twilight Zone, Perry Mason, moved on to Monty Python, St Elsewhere, Dallas, Street Legal. Now: Mercer, This Hour has 22 Minutes, 24 and whatever good documentaries can be found
