I was born in Ahvaz / Iran in 1969 and spent most of my childhood in various cities of Iran. From Ahvaz to Bandar Abbas, to Abadan, and Tehran, where I remained until the age of 13. After which in 1982 my family and I made the move to London, where I live and work now.

Ever since young age, I've played around with cameras and taken pictures of just about everything. This I blame on my father. He introduced me to cameras by sticking a lens in my face at any given opportunity. His first SLR cameras were a Pentax Spotmatic, and then a Minolta X-700, which he still has, but they've seen better days. These were my cameras for a while, whilst growing up here in London. Strangely enough, I never learned anything about focal lengths, aperture or shutter speed with any of these two. I found myself needing to know all this when I bought my first dSLR.

I Love photography and everything that comes with it. Bought my first digital camera back in 2000, the Kodak DC290 2 mega pixel camera. This was a dream camera to use, and had some amazing features. I find even to this day that I am amazed at the quality of images it produced. After that, I bought a Sony DSC-P93 Cybershot, and I was most disappointed with the image quality. At 6 mega pixel, I was expecting to be dazzled.

I was fortunate enough to buy my very first digital SLR, the Canon EOS 350D. Which was a great leap and meant I didn't have to put up with point and shoot digital cameras. Now I have a Canon EOS 20D with an ever growing assortment of lenses.

I've never considered myself an excellent photographer, though every now and then, I trip and take a great picture.
