"Enter a soft, glowing world - but with a catch, an edge. Robert Moran's images feel so much more than just beautiful. My selection is predictably graphic, but his stream is rich in gorgeous travel and nature photography, and a sumptuous sense for restricted colour pallettes. Over all, there is an unerring eye for a sharp and sometimes unsettling composition, a disruption of order, and a shaking up of your expectations ... I can't quite decide how much it all feels like a traditional artform, beautifully executed, and how much like quiet visual anarchy, with a touch of surrealism. Go enjoy his stream, and work out for yourself!

    Andy Brown (mrbuk1) says:

"Typically, the majority of us are drawn to the work of other photographers whom produce images in a similar vein to our own efforts. In this I differ from no other. However, there are always exceptions to the rule, and Robert Moran is one such for me. His beautifully expressive style of photography is (for the main part) completely disimilar to my own, and yet I find it utterly compelling and fascinating.

It is always a joy to catch up with his latest shots, and I am frequently amazed at the speed and regularity with which he produces such technically astute and artistically savvy imagery. I am tempted to believe he is actually several photographers masquerading as one - I see no other likely explanation. Certainly it would explain away the varying styles he has mastered - from tonally rich mono landscapes to vibrant slightly stylised automobile shots, and from compositionally perfect slices of daily life, to impressionistic colour interpretations of architecture.

I was once fortunate enough to see one of his shots prior to his unique style of processing, and can testify that his skills don't stop just behind the camera. In this digital age I feel this is a skill that we neither can, nor should, choose to ignore.

Unfortunately, I am assured he is in fact just one guy by the unwavering candour, consideration and respect with which he has always acknowledged my own work. A true photographic talent, and a truly valued photographic contact and, I hope, friend."
