I am 40 something, single and living in the Poconos of PA. I work in Bethlehem in accounts receivable. I really like both areas. The Poconos for the nature and Bethlehem is just a nice medium sized city situated next to Allentown, PA. I would like to move there someday since I work there. I'm hesitant though because my family is all in the Poconos but then again I would only be about 1 hour away.

I was born and raised in Omaha. It's my mother's family that is from PA so we wound up here. I have family in so many parts of the country. My one brother is in Las Vegas, my other brother is in Philadelphia, my father is in Springfield, MO and my grandmother is in a small town in Arkansas. I have cousins and an Aunt in St. Louis. My mother's extended family is all here though and that is nice. They are all a great group of people and I miss the family that lives far away.

I don't have kids but I really love kids. I just didn't find a guy I wanted to marry and settle down with. Maybe someday I will still get married but I believe I'm not young enough to have kids at this point. If I get married great and if I don't that is fine also. I am convinced it is better to be alone than to be with the wrong person in an unhappy marriage.

I have a Goddaughter who is in her early twenties and she has her own little girl now who is a little over 6 months old. I love them both very much!

I am struggling with some issues in my life but that is another story. I'm learning more and more that life is a journey and it is not to be taken for granted. I have been taking it for granted for too long and life is too short for that. My life is far from perfect but I am thankful to God that I was born in this country and I am thankful for my family and many other things too.

My interests are photography, politics, art, crafts, crochet, movies (kind of a movie buff) and music. I especially love new country, classic rock and old Motown music. I also volunteer for an animal shelter and absolutely love dogs.

I haven't been into photography for awhile and when I was I didn't really take the best pictures in the world but I would like to learn more and more about it every day and try to excel at it. I have a good friend who works with me who introduced me to Flicker and I'm really glad she did because I really enjoy this website. Thanks Stephanie!
