I'm currently attending college as a psychology major and art minor. Over the past few years, my work has expanded from charcoal drawings to photography and digital imagery. The foundation I’ve built in traditional art has influenced and shaped my current, and all my core technical values remain the same throughout all media – an attention to detail and a focus on light. While my drawings have been generally nature/fantasy oriented, photography adds a new subject matter: people.

I'm not a studio photographer. I think the best shots require a level of intimacy that doesn’t come from strangers. I’m not here to make a statement or to make anyone think. I come at art from two directions – from a natural love of beauty and people…art and psychology. All I want is to share a feeling. Any feeling. Just simple and true and common to everyone...

My photography gives me a chance to connect to others. To me, everyone is beautiful. It may take some time knowing a person before I can see it, but sometimes its elusiveness is its power. And its redemptive to be able to capture that beauty – to give the world a glimpse of it – to know exactly what my subjects were thinking when I shot them because I can see it in their eyes and I know the relevance of their expression or the posture of their body. Photography gives me the opportunity to reflect their beauty back to them.
