  "I look at this collection and a there are questions that come to mind, like thunder follows lightning its not always an immediate reaction. There is often a pause where I jolt or peacefullly descend into a time or place, with the help of Blakes insight and my own experiences I will always feel something, be it calm or intense. I know the thunder will happen, it is then the questions start: have I been here myself? do I know these people? Is this a dream I had last week? was it a story I read last year? was it a story I wrote when I was fourteen? Is that the song my Grandma would hum while making my vegemite sandwhich?
  Blakes photos allow you to fall into a realm, by simply looking at them you can quite often feel what he may have been feeling, what he may have been thinking. You can often see what he was trying to achieve and the knowing in himself that he has achieved it, cuts through that picture like the initial lightning strike, previously mentioned.
  Now these photos are unique and I've always liked photos where into the artists heart and head you can find yourself roaming, however this particular artist has helped me to expand my oppinions to also appreciate photos, contrary to the ones just mentioned. The ones where no idea comes at all, the feelings about the artist at that time are none existent. Its lies deep, almost dark, mystery surrounds. You find yourself staring, and although you may filter through many an idea as this why this particular photo is what it is, nothing ever seems to fall into place.
  I do not believe it would be an easy task for a photographer to be able to create either of these effects at will.
  While looking through this collection, from beginnig to end, I can't help but feel proud: it is clear that Blake is someone who feels comfort and at ease with a camera in his hand. It appears he always has, however from the first photos taken to ones recently added it is plain to see how much this lad and his camera have grown together. From a boy just having fun with his new digi to an artist, that work clearly reflects he has moved past taking photos with just camera in hand, he now seems to hold his passion and love for his art high above and all around himself every time he aims and (very carefully) shoots. Happy 500 Blake."
