Hi everyone.
I'm formally trained at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, majored in Commercial Design. Worked a brief stint for The Cape Coral Breeze family of newspapers as layout artist but the demands of publishing deadlines forced to rethink my career and I went into IT, security and Wireless ( Cellular/GPS/Location services) for 20 years.
I have full time disability but working on healing up some day to work full time as a fine arts and nature artist. I draw what I shoot and sometimes shoot what I draw. I'm also a pointillist and scratch board artist, a dying art I may add.
If you want to use something, please drop me an email or message rick@blackowlstudio.com or rick.duff@gmail.com some of my images are copyright protected and some I've published under a Creative Commons. Typically the Rainier stuff is Copyrighted.
Please don't steal it, the kids gotta eat!
Thanks for reading this far!

R. S. Walker says:
"Rick is a very passionate artist. Many people create without emotion, but not him. So much of his work effectively conveys his strong personal relationship with his art.
With Rick's artwork, you can really spend time with the pieces; really get to know them. There's much more than just on the surface. His art has a depth that once you've spent the time with it, you feel like you've made a new friend."1st October, 2006
