I took up photography less than a year ago. As fate would dictate, I took it up at one of the lowest point in my life, with little else to turn to.

I used to use my father's Canon EOS 500, a film slr, when I was young. I used it on trips, but had very little fundamental knowledge of operating of a camera, as I simply used the creative modes and shoot away.

I did not choose to enter any of the free or paid courses to learn photography. Instead, I chose to read up on my own, either from articles online, or books that I could find in the local library. When I started taking street shots, I had barely any clue of what street photography is, instead I looked at street shots from various forums and flickr and deduce what I should do.

One may argue, this is a tougher path, as such, till now, my shots are perhaps far behind that of many who started around the time when I started. However, I see this as a fulfilling learning path. I don't shoot to hope that one day i can get a shot that is being favorite-d on flickr, or given marvelous compliments. This is a journey which enables me to learn a bit about a new hobby, as well as a bit about life.

Hope to learn from any critiques or comments from one and all. Feel free to drop a comment on any shots and we'll discuss from there. I promise to reply to all comments. :)
