I use my camera as an excuse to explore Los Angeles. I am drawn to the public realm to document Los Angeles: street portraits, festivals, and the built environment. Telling the story of Los Angeles within each image and through variations on a theme. I recently adopted the widescreen aspect ratio (16x9) because the cinematic storytelling quality.

I am a self-taught photographer. My passion for photography is in part the result of discovering Flickr in 2004. As a self-taught photographer, I have used Flickr track my skill level and maturing of my themes.

"I've know BinaryLA for a long time! and I seen him grow as a photographer
from photographing homeless and buildings to moving into a more professional
type of photography. I think his photography is only at the begining of a great
journey, and what is exciting is that we all get to share in the ride of a photographer
from the start of his career to the sky is the limit of what his work can lead to!
Check out his photo, and get ready to be WOWed!!!!"
