  Heartfelt stories of troubled souls with hope and kindred spirits colliding ring in my head. Not only does his photos speak to me but his writing is amazing and addictive!
  
  Along with Tommy Oshima, Billy has been one of a few people on flickr who have truly inspired me to shoot passionately and find meaning and mood in the subjects I shoot.
  
  It's funny how the world works. He captured my heart with his photos and writing years ago and one day, serendipitously he came across my stream . I was flattered that he came to my stream but so was he that I said he is an inspiration to me; one's inspiration to others leads to you being inspired again.

  I dont know why I havent written one sooner but I decided to write a reply to your message as a testimonial. kill two birds with one
  
  a hassy is a little hard to shoot streetwork although not impossible..takes some time to get used to. i definitely like using my 35mm minolta; obviously a leica would be choice .
  
  I definitely vouch for using a film camera whilst shooting, yes it may be a hassle with developing and it does eat into your pockets somewhat but its worthit(get a film scanner-saved me heaps of $$). I feel it conveys mood much better than digital ever can and being much more selective with your shots. having said that, ive missed many opportunities . pros and cons ;)"

  I don't think he knows this but he has been one person on Flickr who has always supported me from the start. I found him to be down to earth and supportive..I think we have a similar way of looking at the world through our camera and in our personal life.
  
  I have always found his photos amazing and very powerful there is a simplicity with in each photo and that is what makes them beautiful. I should make more comments about his work but find myself at a loss for words..
