Cyclists worldwide deserve heroes they can believe in. The supporters want a clean sport. Now they have a voice: Bike Pure
WHO:
Bike Pure are an independent, not-for-profit cycling organisation, committed to our beautiful sport.
Bike Pure are the face and the voice of cycle fans, worldwide. Open to all.
WHY:
Cycle racing has had a problem for decades with endemic drug use. Although the sport is cleaning up, it has been proven in recent years that the riders are still using artificial, performance enhancing methods. We desire a truly clean sport, with real riders that the fans, sponsors and media can have faith in.
HOW:
Through media pressure and public support: Bike Pure shall encourage riders and teams to sign contracts, declaring that they race clean, without performance enhancing drugs and with a code of conduct that will encourage our sport to flourish. If any rider should be caught, Bike-Pure encourages the introduction of a Life ban from cycle sport. We believe is only through the adoption of a stiffer penalty will riders think twice about doping.
