BigLoada's photostream |
Hi, I am from Northumberland in England and my main interests are watching wildlife & birds, and hiking in the countryside and animal rescue.
I mainly do night photography/light painting, and photography underground in old abandoned mines but would love to be doing wildlife photography if I ever can afford a decent lens.
I'm always keen to meet up with other local photographers, whether it be for a ramble in the country doing landscapes or a night photography session. Give me a shout anytime :)
Thanks for checking out my photographs!

Thompski says:
"BigLoada, also known by the alias of 'Dean' never ceases to impress with his fantastic mine photographs - the lighting is constantly spot on regardless of the varying conditions he must face.
Dean is also perhaps one of the friendliest people on flickr, full of praise for other people's work as well as having an appreciation for a good cheese amongst other culinary interests."5th January, 2010

"I have known Dean for a little over two years now and in that short amount of time he has been a huge influence on how I think.
Not only has he helped me with my camera skills but he has also opened my eyes to the world around me.
His pleasant personality and helpful friendly nature make him a treasured friend. I look forward to many years to come mate.
Once again Dean - thank you. :)"23rd September, 2009

"I'm not sure how Dean does it, but his photographs are just wonderful. I could sit and look at them for hours. He keeps me dreaming of all the places I'd like to visit some day (and the list just keeps getting longer and longer). If I ever make it to the UK, he is going to have to take me exploring some of those old mines!"

"Deans photographs always inspire me to go exploring. He goes to the most amazing locations that I did not think existed in the UK. Deans excels in all styles of photography and i've seen a great night photography from him since i've known him. Every time I come on he has even better pictures than I saw last time!
Well done Dean, keep up all this good work.

"Dean is an intrepid underground explorer and old mines are his speciality.
He takes some excellent pictures in some very hostile conditions.
I commend him for that. We need people like him to document and show these hidden places to a wider audience.
Dean is a pleasent and helpful guy, and always full of praise for other peoples work.
Keep up the good work mate!"5th November, 2008
