I am an electrical engineer that almost a decade ago dived into photography only as a curious person. I purchased a SLR camera right after I had been fired from my first job at a local computer hardware maintenance shop. It was an insanity from my dad's point of view: "how can you buy such an expensive camera without having any clue about photography? You should have bought a car, do you know you could buy a Bug with this same amount of money?."
Some years have passed and I am still the same curious one, but photography was maybe the biggest quantum leap ever that introduced me to a new way to see and absorb information around me. It is more than time and dimensions, it is all about abstraction. Colors, people, shapes, scenes, landscapes,everything has changed for my mere first-moment-logical eyes. I do love it, I do need it, I do want to keep it for my entire life. I know I can only survive by sharing my insights, my snap shots, and my silly captures.
