The Bethlehem Police Department’s Mounted Patrol Unit has recently been restored to downtown Bethlehem after a 63-year hiatus. The patrol includes Captain John D. Sarnicky; Officers Michael Leaser, Timothy Brooks and Jon Buskirk; and their mounts, George, Raven, and Pharoah, respectively. George is a Percheron-Morgan cross, Raven is a Friesian-Quarter Horse cross, and Pharaoh is an American Quarter Horse.

The MPU's base is at Burnside Plantation, an historic site for the City of Bethlehem, provided under the auspices of the Historic Bethlehem Partnership and Lehigh County.
