Beta Kappa Psi Black and Latino Fraternity, Inc. was found by eight elite men on October 14th, 1992, at the New Jersey Institute of Technology as a non-profit social and community service based organization.

Though Beta Kappa Psi is a Black and Latino organization by tradition it is not by membership. Our organization is open to all collegiate men of any race, or religion. We pride ourselves on racial and cultural diversity ranging from Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, and Caribbean brothers. Spiritually we have members who follow Catholicism, Christianity, Pentecostal, Jehovah-Witness and Nondenominational. Beta Kappa Psi, Inc is a relatively small organization that believes in promoting brotherhood, knowledge and in obtaining the two previous mentioned, developing pride. The organization is derived from a well-mannered group of individuals who are eager to embark on new missions and possibilities.

We are simply a group of men who are united in Brotherhood by the Knowledge we obtain throughout life, and bonded by the pride we emulate.

Our Mission is to develop leaders on our college campuses through community service and explore our cities across the United States of America. Our Brotherhood will empower its members to be productive citizens and inject positive change in our society.

The Purpose of Beta Kappa Psi is a social and community service driven fraternity dedicated to the needs of the inner city community with a commitment to higher education, and the promotion and maintenance of the traditional values of unity, honesty, integrity and leadership.
