hi all! thanks for stopping by and i hope you will comment, critique, laugh, frown, ponder, pooh pooh, love, hate or have some kind of emotion evoked by my feeble attempts at photography. i will do the same for you. but don't be mean cause i'm a fragile flower and my feelings get hurt easily. oh, i'll never say anything mean to you either.

i have always been interested in photography. i got my first camera for my 7th birthday. my mom wrapped the five sided box to look like a house (she was very creative like that) and it sat in the center of our dining room table for a week before i knew it was actually my present. took my very first black and white photos of a, then, very new Sea World and my birthday party friends. from then on, it seems like i was always taking pictures but mostly of vacations and special events. i have scrapbooks full of them. it is only recently, however, that i discovered the joy of taking pictures for no particular purpose other than to capture what i thought might make a great image. my camera goes everywhere with me now. i'm still very, very amateur but am learning more everyday. i find it marvelous that, at my ripe (like a juicy peach, not cheese!) age, i have found something that has so completely overtaken my heart and mind. and just when i needed it the most.
