I am a professional art director, designer and illustrator. Sustaining a creative professional career for over two decades, I am continuing to generate design solutions and brand evolution for consumer retail markets and non-profit community advocacy organizations. For example: telecommunications, kid’s sports accessories, sportswear apparel branding, gaming & audio product accessories, music, art, teaching, healthcare and publishing.

Growing up in South California’s media rich Los Angeles area, I was hooked on drawing, painting and creating music. Since graduating from the Art & Design School of San Jose State University – San Jose, California with a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, I have managed to sustain employment as a fulltime, part time and freelance designer for design, interactive and advertising agencies and global product and design manufacturers in New York, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose and Santa Cruz, California.

Currently, I am at Cruzio in Santa Cruz, CA as a freelance art director and designer, collaborating with clients ranging from Plantronics, Modern Times Film Company, Wildfire Interactive, FastPencil.com, Serena Integrative Therapies, LocalMusicVibe.com, The Impact Media Group, Blue Moto Co., Covewater SUP and all the way to Strategic Sports Limited in Hong Kong.

My portfolio is full of creative design solutions for Fox Racing, O’Neill Wetsuits, No Fear, Pac Sun, Giro, Specialized, Bell Sports, NFL Properties, NASCAR and FastPencil.com. During the 1996 Olympics, I was commissioned to design a t-shirt for Nike Inc. that eventually sold out its entire inventory. I am proud to have been a designer for the creative team called O’FX. I accepted a Brand Award of Excellence in 1995 for the illustration and brand guidelines of the internationally renowned “O’Neill Wave.” Recently O’Neill Inc. sold this trademark to a European clothing manufacturer for 403.8-million U.S. dollars for the international rights.

The graphic illustrations that I design are applied to bicycle helmets, snowboards, accessories, pads, gloves, sportswear and packaging. These designs have been recognized throughout various national retailers.

I would like to further explore my illustration and fine art techniques and style within the coming years. Combing fine art and commercial design styled designs with stenciled, sketched, photographic, airbrush and printing techniques with a whimsical and dynamic personality.

Having a life long passion for art, design and film, I want to continue to have fun and success with my clients by collaborating with fellow professionals with complimentary disciplines. The results will be compelling design solutions with a global perspective.
