Photography is my favourite form of constructive procrastination. I love to learn, and I love to travel, and I want to take pictures of all of it-- and all the bits in between. I'm still learning a lot about what makes a good, powerful photograph-- but I'll get there in the end.

I love getting comments and commenting on the photos of others. I don't always immediately add a person as a contact when they add me, just because I have quite a lot of contacts now-- however, if you keep commenting on my photos, I will probably add you eventually. :) And I do try to return comments where I can (sometimes a few slip through, unfortunately, if I'm busy or distracted).
On, and be warned, if you start faving my photos, but have no buddy icon, no pictures, and a list of faves that seems to be dominantly porn, I will block you. I'm also pretty unforgiving of people who are rude, sexist and obnoxious on my photostream-- this is a happy place for me, and I feel no shame about getting rid of comments and people who make it otherwise.
My Gear:
(Okay, this list makes me feel like an over-privileged little so-and-so)
Human Brain (approx 1.25kg)
Canon A520 (rarely used these days)
Canon 350D dSLR
Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 DC MACRO (with 72mm Circular Polariser)
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8
Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM (with 58mm Circular Polariser)
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 (Kit lens, just sits in a box).
Canon Speedlite 430EX
Silk Mirage Tripod
Canon RC-1 Remote Control
Canon RS60-E3 Cable Release
GIMP 2 (free software)
Raw Shooter Essentials 2006 (free software)
I want:
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro
Canon EF 28mm f/2.8
Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM
Canon ST-E2 Speedlite Transmitter
Photoshop CS3
(Yes, even though I already have heaps of cool stuff, I still want more. Hopefully I will use my photography to Do Good someday to make up for it).

Testimonials
Brady* says:
"I have really enjoyed looking at Beppie K's work, she clearly sees beauty wherever she goes and captures it with real originality and freshness. She is also a great girl and a precious sister of the female self portrait artists support group where her comments and advice always make me smile:)"
jocieposse (aka skid ho) says:
"Beppie represents why I love Flickr - you can meet people that you'd never get the chance to meet otherwise. I've really enjoyed learning about her life through her photos, sharing thoughts, and watching her improve. Oh, and let's not forget the evolution of her boyfriend's facial hair - I've enjoyed that, as well. ;-) Great photos, great girl!"
Mark Grealish says:
"Beppie...is someone who's gone from snapping rather ordinary pictures of plants, to very forceful portraits in a frighteningly short period of time.
All of which is to the good. Beppie's talent for bringing to the fore different facets of her personality in self-portraiture is a very hard thing to accomplish, both technically and creatively.
Dry words, but there you have it."
