A Carolina Mountain Perspective

I'm a 28 year old project landscape architect who lived in Asheville, NC for several years, and am originally from Louisiana.

I began shooting landscape analysis work with a Kodak DX4900 several years ago, and during that time realized that what was really rewarding with my analysis work wasn't simply capturing snapshots of a place, it was capturing the essence of the place, and telling its story through imagery. This discovery caused me to become interested in exploring photography as a hobby, which is where I am today.

I loved shooting and exploring the mountains of Western North Carolina, and became addicted to finding and photographing waterfalls, thanks in part to Kevin Adams' book North Carolina Waters: A Hiking and Photography Guide. A definite buy for anyone interested in waterfall photography in WNC. Today you can find me exploring the swamps and relics of Louisiana.

Hopefully my photography will inspire you to see the beauty of the world around you, and to understand the importance of protecting our natural resources.
