I’m a different kind of candidate.

My job for the majority of my professional career has been helping companies and health care organizations be more efficient, be more responsive to their customers, and provide higher quality of service and care.

In the real world, companies are constantly finding ways to keep costs down, improve quality and keep customer satisfaction high. And if they don’t – they fail! Can you imagine what the results of real world benchmarks would look like if we applied them to our state agencies, budgets and politicians? Our shared values of fairness, efficiency and good results require that we look at state government differently.

My promise is simple, on day one, as your State Senator, I will take a closer look at our state government spending and efficiencies. I will ask the tough questions: What are our priorities? Do we need it? Can we afford it? And who is going to pay for it? It’s time that we cut wasteful government spending and move toward a more lean and efficient state government.

I believe cost, quality, and customer satisfaction benchmarks must be applied in Olympia just as they are applied in the real world. And, my more than 20 years of experience and business insights tells me it would only make us stronger…more efficient…and allow us to deliver a higher level of service to our kids, our seniors and those most in need.

It’s time to invest in – not cut – our critical services. It’s time to spend taxpayer money wisely and get results.

It’s going to take leadership, common sense, passion…and a little bit of being different to get it done. But I think it’s worth it. I hope you do too.
