"Damn you! You are a squeaking puppy, and so are all those who will submit to be governed by laws which rich men have made for their own security. For the cowardly whelps have not the courage otherwise to defend what they get by their knavery. But damn ye, altogether! Damn them for a pack of crafty rascals, and you, who serve them, for a parcel of hen-hearted numbskulls! They villify us, the scoundrels do, when there is only this difference: they rob the poor under the cover of law, forsooth, and we plunder the rich under the protection of our own courage; had ye not better make one of us, than sneak after the arses of those villains for employment?"

"Flickr got a lot more fun when this guy invited one of my photos to DBOLRL, and way more addictive! Life hasn't been the same ever since, and I'm awfully glad we met. He's a noisy, opinionated, flaming liberal with a fine little fambly and a career that includes playing with language and working with technology - what's not to love? I have a strong impression that Benji cares more, about more, than most people do, and he both suffers and rejoices acutely as a result. I'm glad I know him."

"We have front row seats for this theater of mass destruction. The demolition committee of Project Mayhem wrapped the foundation columns of a dozen buildings with blasting gelatin. In two minutes, primary charges will blow base charges and a few square blocks will be reduced to smoldering rubble. I know this... because LotF knows this.

Still awaiting the mophone shots of the results of Project Mayhem, in all their low rez gory... err sorry glory."

    that's MR. POPLABS says:

"First of all I must say that I love Benji Borden like a sister.

I have six or seven sisters. One of them ran off with the circus and had a kid with every male performer causing me a lot of financial troubles during the holidays (and plus they seem to have a little too much hair). Another was technically neither a boy nor a girl really...still not sure...some redundant and unnecessary parts. The third one is just a prostitute. The fourth one is her pimp. The fifth one has had an acne problem since birth (during delivery doctor fainted) and has counted every pusstule since she was able to count. The sixth sister had sex with George W. Bush while both were on psychotropic bender. The supposed seventh child joined the Green Party. The family ex'd her out for that.

    I like Benji's pictures."

"Benji Borden was a pleasant addition to our "little group". He shares with us his wicked inspiration, I am pretty sure his s*it doesn't stink, and he lets us all know it's ok to have pictures in their stream that are complete crap, because has them too. He knows a thing or two about creating group moral by showing us his magic heavy hand... He is a threat to our emotional well being but we love this guy... Really, benji, We do. I swear. :)"

Oh, and he cooks a mean pot of baby stew!!"

"heroism isn't how they play it in the movies. It isn't some bright shining light overcoming extraordinary dragons. Most heroes are unsung. They face down mortgages and take their children to the fair on hot days. And though the world is a lot more low res than they expected in their youth, they go to work and look after their piece of that world anyway. That's the tale of Everyman who in the end is the real hero of this great panorma, from one generation to the next. I enjoy these pictures for how they are hero's diary. THey are full of a sense of being."
