I am 40 years old and a very enthusiastic amateur photographer.

Originally trained as a musician and having worked as such for many years in the past, I have also had a long lasting passion for photography. So, when my personal circumstances brought me to Cornwall, I found it was the right time for me to dedicate more time and effort into this activity and make a gradual move towards freelance photography.

I am primarily drawn to landscapes and seascapes, but I also shoot more commercial pictures for online stock libraries and other photo agencies. Some of my images have appeared in magazines, brochures, location-themed books, cards and postcards, business adverts, etc.
Occasionally, I also get the opportunity to do commissioned assignments for the "Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust", which is always an enriching experience.

Some of my "more artistic" images can be found in some of the local galleries and shops, too.

I would like to think on the whole my images convey a sense of seclusion, as well as sense of "wish I was there".
But you may have a different interpretation!

UPDATE August 7th, 2009:
An apology is due to some of you who may already be familiar with some of these photos.
Over time, a lot of my images have been "borrowed" from my Flickr page, mostly without my consent, so I eventually decided I would stop uploading images that are not watermarked.
As a consequence, I lazily stopped uploading work altogether.
It's only recently I thought I would like to re-acquaint myself with Flickr and its community, and would start using this space again to showcase some of my photographs.
They are now all watermarked, which I know can be seen as a bit of a hindrance when trying to view them. The flip-side of this though, is that I am now making them viewable in larger format than I used to. So all in all, I am hoping that the result will be an improved experience for the people that take the time to browse through my porfolio.
Also, and more importantly, some new material will be added very soon... I am getting there... slowly!!!
Can I also use this space to thank all the people who have kept me as a contact over the past months/years - even when my portfolio ground to a halt - some of whom left some wonderful comments at the time.
Many, many thanks again, and it will be a pleasure to be in contact with everybody again. I am certainly looking forward to it.
