An avid photographer since the age of 17, Ben loves to shoot on film without using a light meter. In his current work he is exploring capturing extremes of light and dark, pushing the limits of whatever stock he is using. He enjoys making educated guesses, not knowing exactly what to expect, and is always pleased when his photos (A) turn out as planned or (B) in ways he never imagined.

When not shooting on film Ben likes to capture images on his cell phone, a Motorola ZN5. He particularly enjoys exploring the camera's panorama function, and its low light sensitivity.
