I am a photographer with no professional background/official training certificates/accredited stamps of collegiate approval etc. I use a funky Canon powershot S3IS that I bought for myself three years ago, and any other camera when I get the chance. I do not photograph with the intention of taking or capturing some memory, of having a copy of any Thing; but rather to experience light in a way that I normally would not - to hold it still, pin it down, examine how its shapes and colors define the world. What is beauty made of? I don't know exactly, but I do think it is curious how often it turns up when you begin to look.
