I am a 43 year old mother to a bunch of adult kids who seem to never plan to move out of my house and now a grandmother. I live in a 100+ year old farmhouse in rural Mississippi (OK A few miles from a town of 40,000) with an odd and ever changing assortment of animals and characters.

II am taking time off from full-time photography to.... well, to pursue photography. Confused yet? :-) I am moving from east central Mississippi to Little Rock, Arkansas and just not quite sure what path I want to pursue in the future. I'm taking time off from photography "work" to pursue photography "play". I am re-shooting my portfolio, getting more education, and exploring my options for the future. At the moment, I want to work on more conceptual work and less pretty girls dressed in "fashion" standing in front of a white backdrop. If you have a great concept for a shot, contact me! I'm willing to shoot tfp for all good ideas.

Summer 2010: I have decided to totally re-shoot my portfolio! I want my port to reflect my interest in conceptual work. I need models and stylists with some cool concepts for me to shoot. If there is something you have always wanted to see in your portfolio, send me an email and tell me about it. We'll both get some great new shots for our portfolios.

I really want to do some vintage pinup work with themes (sailor suits, military uniforms, etc), rockabilly, and STEAMPUNK!

I am shooting in and around the Little Rock Arkansas area on a regular basis and around Meridian MS about one week a month. Email me for my schedule if you are interested.


Although photography is my primary preoccupation at the moment, I am also an eclectic artist. (That's a nice way for saying dabbler, right?) My real passion is designing and making jewelry. I work in hot glass, both fusing and lampwork bead making, and cold glass, as well as metal clay and most recently adding traditional metalworking (mostly silver, some copper) to my designs. I am also working on some pendants featuring my art photography set in sterling silver under clear glass-like resin.

I enjoy all sorts of crafty pursuits.... a little sewing, stained glass and china mosaics, digital scrapbooking, visual journaling, a little painting, remodeling and decorating my 100+ year old home, gardening, making soap and herbal concoctions, cooking and baking, and anything involving power tools!

Flickr is not my professional portfolio. Flickr is where I put the pictures that I shoot for fun. Pictures of butterflies and rainbows and my kids. Pictures of my cat and things that strike me funny over the course of the day and roadtrips.
