RULE of thirds, the GOLDEN ratio. My thinking on these rules is that if you have an artistic eye then composition comes naturally and you don't need no stinking rules ":0)
A wise person once told me that if you intend to break a rule you should always learn it first to make sure your breaking of it is all the more effective!
