I am captivated by the beauty and majesty of the formations in the Apostle Islands. This is my main focus. my theme: "Nature is the Artist and I provide the canvas."
Little, if any, editing is done, since I rely on the precision and quality of my Nikon D40X to catch the true beauty.
I am semi-retired and fill my extra hours teaching business courses at a Native American Community College and my love for photography.
Since I spend most of my time on the water among the Islands, The VR helps since I am shooting from 15' hard bottom inflatable. Although I choose generally calm conditions, so I can take advantage of the reflections, there is always some movement. I also have a Nikon Coolpix 8800 which makes it possible to reach otherwise inaccessible places, without the necessity of carrying around a selection of lenses.
