Brian Dowd has been married since October 8, 2000 to Kristy and they have two beautiful daughters, Caroline (6y) and Annabelle (2y.)

Brian has worked in the telecommunications industry since July of 1998 with a strong concentration in Voice over IP (VoIP), management, process, procedures, strategic planning, NGN evolution, routing evolution and much more. Currently Brian holds position as Director, International Voice Network Engineering at Tata Communications.

Outside of work Brian spends most of his time with Kristy, Caroline and Annabelle. He enjoys his time with family and friends. They can often be found at the boardwalk, beach, vacations, back yard BBQs, movies and other great family events.

Brian is also active in the cancer community. He is LIVESTRONG Community Leader in Ocean County NJ and has been an avid supporter of LIVESTRONG since being diagnosed with testicular cancer on June 2, 2006.

In February 2007 Brian founded Team Down One (http://teamdownone.com/) The mission of Team Down One is to raise funds for LIVESTRONG supporting critical programs for cancer research, prevention, survivorship, clinical trials and one day a cure. To date, Brian and Team Down One have raised over $50,000 for the LAF.

Brian currently is a member of the Cancer Institute of New Jersey’s Survivor Advisory Board. He is also active in raising funds for the MS Society and March of Dimes.
