Welcome to my small space in flickr land.

I'm using flickr for lots of reasons - partly for friends and family to see what I'm up to (so I guess a kind of infrequent photo blog), and also to let a wider audience see some of my pictures. And hey, it's great fun too - I get lots of inspiration looking at some of the amazing pictures here on flickr.

Some of the things you'll find here are just snap shots of life and places, whereas others are photos that I'm pleased with the way they've turned out - for whatever reason you're looking, I hope you find something that you like !

Most of the pictures have been taken using a Nikon D70s, with the 18-70mm Nikkor DX ED lens, and more recently, the 18-200 Nikkor DX VR, which tends to stay on my camera all the time.

And yes, I'm still using my 5 year old D70s - tempted (of course) by a D700, D400 (if) or a D7000, but am still happy with the image quality from my first ever DSLR :)

I tend not to manipulate images much, apart from the odd crop here or there. Sometimes I rescue a lost cause using Photoshop Elements.

Have just taken the leap with Photoshop Lightroom v3, so am getting to grips with that too.
