b.d. eek does not like to discuss the particulars of life, so the facts are limited. Born in Bombay Beach, California in the early 1980's, by age 12 in an effort to curb rebellious behavior, b.d. eek's family moved to an unspecified Midwestern suburb. While attending high school, this so-called "problem child" was forced to complete assigned work in complete isolation. This solitary existence socially stunted b. d. eek and brought on paranoia, but the chance to explore art was there. Hours were spent quietly sitting and sketching. Subversive cartoons mostly, but nonetheless something was found capable of controlling b. d. eek's outrageous behavior. Self-taught, but not uneducated, b.d. eek continues to explore Surrealism, Pop Art, Abstract Expressionism, Gauguin, Looney Tunes, and street art while living and working in Lawrence, KS.
