Bethany Rahn received her Bachelor of Science in Art from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where she studied printmaking and photography. In the photo realm she specializes in photojournalism and portraiture. A fervor for letterpress and travel began when she received an Undergraduate Research Grant to explore alternative printmaking and photo processes in Florence Italy. Upon returning from Florence she began seeking more places to expand her letterpress knowledge leading her to the Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum. During numerous trips to Hamilton she was able to help various artists on projects including, Stacey Stern, Rory Sparks, Kyle Durrie, Bill Moran, as well as completing an internship.

Her work has been shown in two Florence Student Exhibitions and two UW-La Crosse All Student Juried Exhibitions. The 2010 juried show awarded her with the Marion Biehn Art Award. Her Senior Exhibition featured broadside and lithograph prints from her experience down in Grand Isle, LA during the Deep Horizon Oil Spill. Most recently she completed a design internship at the Madison Children’s Museum where she began constructing a letterpress education program.

Portraits:
Session Fee - $150
Unlimited locations and outfits as desired with in a three hour time limit. For additional time the cost will be $25/hour.
