The Balkan Conference in Informatics (BCI) aims to provide a forum for discussions and dissemination of research achievements, to promote interaction and collaboration among scientists from the Balkans and beyond, and to encourage involvement of new researchers from the region.

So far, four conferences have been successfully organized and the fifth has already been scheduled for 2011:

1st BCI (2003): Thessaloniki, GREECE
2nd BCI (2005): Ohrid, FYR Macedonia
3rd BCI (2007): Sofia, BULGARIA
4th BCI (2009): Thessaloniki, GREECE
5th BCI (2011): Tirana, ALBANIA

The 1st BCI was organized in Thessaloniki in 2003.

The 2nd BCI was organized in Ohrid in 2005.

The 3rd BCI was organized in Sofia in 2007.

Following, was the

BCI'2009 is the 4th Balkan Conference in Informatics, following BCI'2007 held in Sofia, BCI'2005 held in Ohrid, and BCI'2003 held in Thessaloniki.
